Herbie put on a stellar show headlining the Playboy Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl. He mixed it up, classic Hancock with new twists, Watermelon Man, then some tunes from his latest record Rivers-(Album of the Year) with a surprise guest appearance from Wayne Shorter. The show ended with HH closing with Rockit- complete with dance troupe.Herbie was definitely having a blast too, often dancing about with a big smile.
Keb Mo did a set before Hancock, great blues. Loved seeing him live.
