Live Your Light

Carlos Santana is on the road now for his "Live Your Light" tour; indeed a transformational experience for the audiences.

Caught this show back east earlier this month and life has felt different ever since.
Carlos played non-stop for 3 hours a collection of old new and covers of Hendrix, Miles Davis and Marvin Gaye,among others. Well worth the ticket price. definitely feels like a major heart chakra healing.
Carlos is an amazing and bright shining light.

Recently we came across these oldies.....

Early QuickTime Music days hanging in House of Blues Foundation Room with the Kid and Chuck. Peter Gabriel, Trevor Rabin and Satjiv Chahil at AFI QuickTime premier event at the AFI in Los Angeles circa 1994.
Check out the Vintage .MOV. shot this as the intro for our stars - Nagel and Chahil- to introduce them to the Hollywood types at Mark Goodson Theatre at AFI. Wow, Quicktime was at 30fps, full-screen up from 10 fps postage stamp in 1.0.. revolutionary times indeed!

Extract from Gibran's Letters - 1915

An Expression of that sacred desire to find this world and behold it naked; and that is the soul of the poetry of Life. Poets are not merely those who write poerty, but those whose hearts are full of the spirit of life.

Love = Love

Open Your Heart (from BeliefNet)

We may say we want love, success, and happiness, but we don't always back up our dreams with self-honoring actions. Without self-love, we have no foundation to uphold or contain love, self-esteem, and true potential. Someone can love you with more heart than you ever imagined, but where will it go if you have no internal mechanism for recognizing pure love? The universe can shower you with opportunities, but you will miss the best plums on the tree because you won't think you deserve to reach for them.

The First Step: Take 10 to 20 minutes every morning to meditate to a piece of music that feels heart-opening to you. One that I like is this moving and soul-stirring chant, "Open My Heart," by Ana Hernandez and Ruth Cunningham, from their CD HARC: Inside Chants. Hear more at http://www.myspace.com/anahermusic.

Chemistry. What is it? It’s that… well, thing. That “I need to see this person again” impulse. Or that “We click” feeling. But what causes it? Does it need to happen naturally, or can you create it? LoveLand, by Jai Uttal is amazing - music for Awakening and Dreaming. Review from Yoga Journal By Lauren Ladoceour

It would be difficult to pigeonhole an artist like Jai Uttal, whose musical repertoire ranges from Appalachian hillbilly banjo and electric rock to Indian folk and modern jazz.... After listening to Loveland's seven tracks, it's hard to imagine them as any kind of background music. These mostly instrumental compositions are what you might expect from Uttal and Leinbach lulling electronic trance grooves, melodic chants by Uttal, Manose's Nepalese bamboo flute, and Daniel Paul on the tabla. "Prayer to Shakyamuni Buddha" and "Bija Mantras: Watering the Seeds" exemplify Uttal's devotion, but it's a live recording of "Gopala Lullaby" from Uttal's kirtan camp that stands out as the most heartfelt of this latest offering.
