DMC: on Future of HipHop & his commitment to youth

We caught up with DMC last week in LA; the HipHop legend was in town to host the Rockstar event at the HardRock in Hollywood to benefit musiceducation.com
Kids from local LA grade schools came out to perform with their bands, a signed Santana guitar was also in the silent auction among other cool music memorabilia.

www.me-dmc.com is a wealth of information about what he is up to, and he IS involved and his heart expansive.

Here the legend shares his observations about the Future of HipHop

And, too cool for school, DMC appears as himself in the new Guitar Hero, check out Walk this Way, with Aerosmith.

For those who may not know, DMC (Daryll McDaniels) discovered at the age of 35 he was adopted. The documentary My Adoption Journey about his discovery and odyssey was awarded an Emmy.

Camp Felix, was started by DMC and Sheila Jaffe, this is a summer camp in NY for children in adoption centers. a $500 donation will send a child.
