LoveLand, by Jai Uttal is amazing - music for Awakening and Dreaming. Review from Yoga Journal By Lauren Ladoceour
It would be difficult to pigeonhole an artist like Jai Uttal, whose musical repertoire ranges from Appalachian hillbilly banjo and electric rock to Indian folk and modern jazz.... After listening to Loveland's seven tracks, it's hard to imagine them as any kind of background music. These mostly instrumental compositions are what you might expect from Uttal and Leinbach lulling electronic trance grooves, melodic chants by Uttal, Manose's Nepalese bamboo flute, and Daniel Paul on the tabla. "Prayer to Shakyamuni Buddha" and "Bija Mantras: Watering the Seeds" exemplify Uttal's devotion, but it's a live recording of "Gopala Lullaby" from Uttal's kirtan camp that stands out as the most heartfelt of this latest offering.
